Desktop publishing is also known as DTP and it is a process of combining a personal computer with a page layout software in order to create publication worthy documents. It is done with help of a computer used for large scale publishing or small scale publication for local output and distribution.

DTP users can easily create page layouts with graphics, text, photos and other visual elements with the help of different softwares like Adobe, Quark XPress, InDesign, Scribus, Microsoft Publisher and Apple Pages.
